Proper Use of This Medicine

Before using this medicine, wash or cleanse the affected areas thoroughly and gently pat dry. Then apply a small amount of this medicine to the affected areas and rub in gently.

Keep this medicine away from the eyes, the inside of the nose, and the lips . If you accidentally get some in your eyes, inside your nose, or on your lips, flush them thoroughly with water.

This medicine is flammable. Do not use near heat, near open flame, or while smoking.

Use this medicine only as directed . Do not use it more often than recommended on the label, unless otherwise directed by your doctor.

Dosing - The dose of alcohol and sulfur combination will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label . The following information includes only the average dose of alcohol and sulfur combination. If your dose is different, do not change it unless your doctor tells you to do so.

  • For topical dosage form (lotion):
    • For acne or oily skin:
      • Adults and children 8 years of age and older - Apply to the affected area(s) of the skin one or two times a day.
      • Children up to 8 years of age - Use is not recommended.

Missed dose - If you miss a dose of this medicine, apply it as soon as possible. Then go back to your regular dosing schedule.

Storage - To store this medicine:

  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Store away from heat and direct light.
  • Keep the medicine from freezing.
  • Do not keep outdated medicine or medicine no longer needed. Be sure that any discarded medicine is out of the reach of children.
