Methyprylon (meth-i-PRYE-lon) is used to treat insomnia (trouble in sleeping).
However, it has generally been replaced by other medicines for the treatment
of insomnia. If methyprylon is used regularly (for example, every day) to help
produce sleep, it may not be effective for more than 1 week.
Note:
This medicine was withdrawn from the U.S. market in June
1965 and the Canadian market in September 1990.
