Cialis Usage
Cialis is a new drug from Eli Lilly and Company to treat erectile dysfunction. Cialis acts in the same way as Viagra, by blocking an enzyme called phosphodiesterase -5, or PDE-5. Cialis helps the smooth muscles in the penis to relax, which effectively increases blood flow. Thus, allowing the penis to become and stay harder longer.
How To Take Cialis
Cialis can be taken with our without food and should not be taken more than once every 24 hours. For most men Cialis begins working within 30 minutes and can last up to 36 hours.
Cialis Side Effects
Possible side effects of Cialis include headache, flushing, upset stomach, stuffy nose, urinary tract infection, diarrhea, and visual changes such as mild and temporary changes in blue/green colors or increased sensitivity to light.
Precautions for Cialis
Before taking Cialis, tell your doctor about all your medical problems, including if you:
- have heart problems such as angina, heart failure, irregular heartbeats, or have had a heart attack.
- Ask your doctor if it is safe for you to have sexual activity.
- have low blood pressure or have high blood pressure that is not controlled
- have had a stroke
- have liver problems
- have kidney problems or require dialysis
- have retinitis pigmentosa, a rare genetic (runs in families) eye disease
- have stomach ulcers
- have a bleeding problem
- have a deformed penis shape or Peyronie's disease
- have had an erection that lasted more than 4 hours
- have blood cell problems such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia
Cialis Interactions
Tell your online doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially any nitrate medications (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate), nitroprusside, (any "nitric oxide donor" medicines), cimetidine, erythromycin, azole antifungals (e.g., itraconazole, ketoconazole), mibefradil, rifamycins (e.g., rifampin), high blood presure medicine or alpha blocker medicineslike Hytrin (terazosin), Cardura (doxasosin), and Flomax
