What are the signs and symptoms of the infection?

Signs and symptoms of impetigo include the following:

  • honey-colored crusted sores on the skin surface
  • pus-filled blisters
  • blisters containing clear yellow or slightly cloudy fluid
  • Impetigo is seen most often on the hands and face, but can occur anywhere on the body.
