Common symptoms of lactose intolerance include:

  • abdominal bloating and cramps
  • diarrhea
  • gas
  • nausea
  • Infants with congenital lactase deficiency may have some of the following symptoms:

  • dehydration
  • failure to thrive
  • irritability
  • vomiting
  • watery stools
