What are the signs and symptoms of the disease?
Symptoms of poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis usually occur 1 to 3 weeks
after the strep infection. They may include:
blood in the urine
skin swelling, usually around the eyes, which is often worse in the
morning
a recent skin infection or sore
throat
abdominal pain
fever
headache
malaise, or a general sick
feeling
decreased urination
weight gain
high blood pressure
shortness of breath or trouble breathing
pale skin
symptoms of kidney failure, which may include nausea, vomiting, fatigue, weakness, and changes in alertness or awareness
