labeling, ipodate is used in certain patients with the following medical condition:
In addition to the above information, for patients with Graves" disease
taking ipodate:

Ipodate is used in patients with Graves" disease, who have an overactive
thyroid, to reduce the amount of thyroid hormone produced by the thyroid gland.

Use this medicine only as directed by your doctor
. Do not take more of it, do not take it more often, and do not take
it for a longer period of time than your doctor ordered. To do so may increase
the chance of side effects.

In order for it to work properly, ipodate must
be taken every day, as ordered by your doctor
