Trichomoniasis
What are the signs and symptoms of the infection?
Most of the time, trichomoniasis causes no symptoms. At times, symptoms in women may include the following:
abdominal distress
dyspareunia, or painful sexual intercourse
painful urination
vaginal discharge
In men, trichomoniasis can cause the following conditions:
epididymitis, which causes testicular pain
penile ulcers, or painful, open sores on the penis
urethritis, which causes painful urination
