How is the condition diagnosed?

Diagnosis of a cluster headache begins with a medical history and physical exam. The healthcare provider may order tests to rule out other causes of the headaches. These tests may include a cranial CT scan or cranial MRI.

Topiramate (toe-PYRE-a-mate) is used to help control some types of seizures in the treatment of epilepsy. This medicine cannot cure epilepsy and will only work to help control seizures for as long as you continue to take it.
