Proper Use of This Vaccine

Dosing - The dose of typhoid Vi polysaccharide vaccine is the same for all patients 2 years of age and older. For infants and children up to two years of age, the use of typhoid Vi polysaccharide vaccine is not recommended.

  • For injection dosage form:
    • For prevention of typhoid fever:
      • Adults and children 2 years of age and older - One dose injected into a muscle.
      • Children up to 2 years of age - Use is not recommended.
